God's Love and God's Judgement

What does the Bible say about ...

Q: What does the Bible say about who Jesus Christ is?
A: The Bible says Jesus Christ was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life and from about 30 years of age He spent the next 3 years teaching about God's ways and then was crucified and rose again on the third day. No mere man would go through such an agonizing death on the cross simply for another person, and especially for sinners. No, He was not just an ordinary man but He was and is God himself, sinless and the only one that could take away sin.

Q: What does the Bible say about everyone going to Heaven?
A: No; and those that do not go to Heaven will end up in Hell, which is a real place of torment for eternity everlasting. Being a good person does not earn you any right into Heaven. Heaven is only for those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, for those who have believed in Him, asked for forgivenes of their sins and recognized His sacrifice on the Cross as payment for their sin.

Q: What does the Bible say about the reality of Hell?
A: Hell is very much real. It is a place of torment and will last forever. Those that do not give their lives to Jesus Christ will all end up in this place. It is a place of remembrance, feeling and sight; but also a place of darkness and torment with no escape. It would be wise to read other messages on this site and on my other site Gods Mercy and Grace to learn how not to go there.

Q: What does the Bible say about why a man needs to be saved?
A: Since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden back at the beginning of creation man has broken his fellowship with God. He has also lost any right to eternal life and any future life with God in Heaven. When Adam and Eve sinned they lost their right to live forever. They were expelled from the garden and because of sin became unfit to be in the presence of God.

After this death came to mankind and all will die eventually and then find themselves in an awful place called Hell. No sin can ever enter Heaven and since all man sin there is no other choice for fallen man except Hell.

A man needs to be saved if he wants to escape the Hell that awaits him. Also a man needs to ve saved so he can live in fellowship with God and enjoy living with the Holy Spirit living within you. Oh its not always easy living just because you have God living with you but it is far better than living not without God. Eternally it is far better to end up in Heaven than in Hell after you leave here, after all it is for ever and ever.

The Gospel is the good news about Jesus Christ. God knowing that man would fall and did fall, provided a means of reconciliation for man because there was nothing that man could do to make himself acceptable to God. God sent Jesus Christ, and with His own life and the shedding His own blood provided the only possible restoration for man.

Q: What does the Bible say about what a man must do to be saved?
A: Every human being on this earth can be saved because Jesus Christ died on the cross and provided salvation for all as the Bible says. Salvation has been provided to all but it now must be accepted individually by each person. Each one has to recognize their need for salvation and realize that God has provided for your salvation through Jesus Christ, then you now have to embrace it.

Salvation or becoming saved simply is the process of confessing and believing. You must confess that Jesus is Lord and that you are a sinner in need of salvation. Then you need to believe that God has given us His Son Jesus to die for your sin and also He raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Jesus has paid for all sin and provided man a life free from the penalty of sin.

The Bible says "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

Also as the Bible tells us, “For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved

Q: What does the Bible say about if a person can lose their salvation?
A: There are some in Christian circles believe so, but most scholars of Biblical learning know from God's Word that no scripture backs this up. Once a person gives their life to Christ, the Holy Spirit comes and resides in you and there is nothing that can take your salvation away. You may sin from time to time and not always live for the Lord, your fellowship may be broken, but you can never lose your salvation. But be aware that though a Christian cannot loose salvation, this is not a licence to sin and do what you want. There will still be a day that you will be judged on what you done for Jesus and will get rewards or suffer lose of reward.

Q: What does the Bible say about Jesus Christ. Is He really God?
A: Jesus is the Son of God and fully God. He always was from eternity past to eternity future. There is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. Each one is fully God but together make up the triune God. There are many scriptures in the Bible that tells us about Jesus being equal to God and who is God himself; the one who took away the sins of the world.

Q: What does the Bible say about what sin is?
A: We probably can all agree no one is perfect. Anything that we do wrong or against God's law is called sin, thus since we all have done things wrong we are all sinners. Some may think that the "small things" are not really sin; but it is clear that all things that are wrong are called sin. It is clear that sin is when we go against God's word or His law. God is just and has to deal with all sin and the Bible says "the wages of sin is death". Because we are all sinners then we all have will come under the judgement of God. Jesus Christ has paid the panalty of all our sin and we can escape the wrath of God upon us only if through faith we accept Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives.

Q: What does the Bible say about baptism being required for salvation?
A: There are no scripture references hat indicate that it is necessary for someone to be baptised to go to Heaven. Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward act and is how we show the world that we have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. The Bible says that we believe and then become baptised. We are saved by faith and faith alone not by any work on our behalf and that includes baptism. But it is important to recognize that a believer we are to be obedient to God's word and baptism is just one thing that we should do.

Q: What does the Bible say about purgatory?
A: The Roman Catholics have invented this theory as a place or state of temporary suffering or misery. There are no scripture references in the Bible to support this. When one leaves here if you previously have not given your life to Jesus Christ and repented of your sin, you will end up in a place called Hell. This is a place of everlasting punishment and will be forever and ever. The Bible does elude to the fact there may be different levels of punishment; but still at whatever level it will be, it will be forever and with no opportunity or means of escape. Do not rest falsely in this belief that Hell is anything but permanent.

Q: What does the Bible say about, does God really send people to hell?
A: Originally according to scripture God created Hell for Satan as his demons. God never wants to send anyone to Hell because He loves us; after-all we were created in His image. We send ourselves to Hell by refusing to accept and believe in God's Son, Jesus Christ. In love He came to earth to save us. Because we sin and sin is punishable by death and no sin can enter into Heaven, Jesus came and offered Himself as a sacrifice for sin in our place. We send ourselves into Hell simply because we refuse to acknowldge Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, and give our lives to Him. He has already done His part, it is totally up to us now.

Q: What does the Bible say about the Rapture?
A: The word rapture means "to be caught up" or "taken away". The word itself is not found in scripture but we can find a number of passages that tell us clearly that there will come a time that the Lord will return for His saints (all true believers) and they will be taken up with him in the air. This event which will happen in a twinkling of an eye and at a time when no one expects; this event is referred to as the rapture. This will happen before the time of "Great Tribulation" and so all believers are removed from the earth so they will not have to live through this period of time.

Q: What does the Bible say about salvation by good works?
A: The verses in Eph.2: 8~9 tells us “By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” It is clear from this and many other verses that support this that their are no works of any sort that can earn any right into Heaven. The Grace here means to receive undeserved favor. We are saved because of our faith we have in Jesus Christ and faith alone. It is impossible to get into heaven because of our works. Scripture also says " Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" and this tells us that it is only through Jesus Christ and not through anything else which includes any form of workes that salvation can be attained. Jesus also said in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me".
