God's Love and God's Judgement

How to be Saved, The Bible Plan of Salvation,

God s plan of Salvation as the Bible explains began before Adam & Eve were even created. Because God is all knowing, He knew that the same man that He created would sin and cause sin to come down through the human race. Even though God had made man perfect He also gave them the ability to make choices between obeying Him or not. He could have made man to be like a robot and only do exactly what He said, but then there would be no ability to love which would be so unlike himself, who He is.

God is a God of love and made man to have the ability to love, not only other people but to love God. As the Bible says, because man sinned, God had a plan ( we call Salvation ) even before the foundation of the world to redeem (buy) man back. In God's salvation plan, sin had to be paid for by one that was without sin, that one could pay the penalty of the one who did sin. Since everyone is a sinner because as the Bible says, all have sinned then there was no one without sin to pay that penalty. In God s awesome plan He would send His only Son, Jesus Christ, who is God himself and also is sinless, to come to earth and would willingly go to the cross and die for the sin of all mankind.

Is Jesus the only way to salvation? The Bible is clear that there is no other way to become saved and secure a place in Heaven, except by believing in Jesus Christ. Doing good things or good works, baptism, nor Church membership; none of these can secure your salvation.

First, in God's plan of Salvation, you must realize that you need to be saved. You need to be saved because your sins place you under the condemnation of God. Rom. 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,

Next, you must realize that you cannot save yourself by doing good works or performing various religious rites. Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us."

Third, you must realize that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins by dying on the cross in your place. Because He is the Son of God, He did not deserve to die. He was not crucified for His own sins but for ours. Rom. 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

You must believe that Jesus died for you and ask Him to save you from your sins. The Bible says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Salvation is a precious and free gift from God. It is not earned by works, but is given by grace of God. Salvation means that all your sins are forgiven.

How do I receive Christ as my Lord and Saviour?

Receiving Christ involves a change of heart, a turning from your old path to a new path that God has for you.
Accepting Jesus involves:
1. SINNER - Confess you are a sinner and admit your need.
2. REPENT - Be willing to turn away from your sins.
3. TRUST JESUS - Believe that Jesus Christ died for 'you' on the Cross and that He rose from the grave to offer you eternal life.
4. RECEIVE HIM - Pray and invite Jesus Christ to come into your life, and to control your life through the Holy Spirit.

If this prayer below expresses the desire of your heart, why not pray right now?

The exact wording is not as important; as long as you truly have a desire from your heart that you want to give yourself to Him. You can pray something like this.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I am ready and want to turn from my sins. I know You are the way, the truth, and the life and so I now want to turn from disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive me and change my life. I invite you to come into my heart and my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.

If from your heart you prayed something like this you are now a child of God. God offers His assurance to us through His promises in the Bible:

The Bible says...

Romans 10:13 "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

If you gave your life to Jesus Christ, I would love to here from you.
