It is of utmost importance to understand that scripture teaches us that we are saved by grace and grace alone and not of works; and that works which may include the things we do or follow have no bearing on becoming saved; but can be a proof we are saved. The Church in our culture is moving away from being a Church 'Set Apart' as it would have once been. Our reverence and fear of God has become so toned down that we no longer look much different than the rest of the world. Are we a people of God that reflect the holiness of God or is it mere lip service.
Has the church compromised its teaching? Where is the teaching on practical subjects for daily living in this fallen world and is the church using worldly methods and watered down teaching to be attractive to the world.
We need to really understand what being saved by grace not works plays out in our Christian walk. This is not a license to sin, but to love God and let our works play out in through that love relationship. The more we understand the doctrinal issues of Grace, Mercy, Election, Doctrine, Salvation, Sin, Daily Living, End Times the more we can apply these to our daily walk with God.
